Full Day Photography Workshop with David Taylor – Coquet Valley, North Northumberland

Duration: 7 hours

2012 dates coming soon!

This session will be informal, friendly, supportive and, most importantly, fun!

An afternoon workshop, focusing on the magnificent colours of the summer heather on the Cheviot Hills. Weather conditions permitting, we will continue until sunset, which should bring out the best in the heather colours.

By the end of the day you should be able to use your camera more confidently, both technically and creatively.

Essential Information:

Workshop restricted to 6 places to ensure all participants receive a good level of one-to-one attention. David will see everyone individually during the day, so bring lots of questions as well your camera.

Bring the equipment you already own, as the aim is for you to make the most of the camera kit you have, rather than emphasising the limitations you feel it might present!

A tripod is important if you wish to use your camera to its full potential. If you’d like to borrow a tripod, David may be able to lend you one for the day - please let us know ASAP.

Suitable for photographers or all levels & abilities.

Please bring a packed supper for the day.

If you have to cancel, please notify us immediately. Every effort will be made to fill your vacancy, but if we’re unable to do so, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows:

About David Taylor:

Award-winning landscape and travel photographer, David Taylor, was born and raised in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and now lives in the ancient market town of Hexham, Northumberland. He took his first photograph at the age of 14 when his parents gave him a Kodak Instamatic for Christmas – he’s been taking photographs ever since!

David's work has taken him all over the world, from the sun-kissed beaches and aqua seas of Zanzibar to the bright chill of northern Sweden in the depths of winter. But his first love remains the wild countryside and rugged coastline of his home county of Northumberland, which he has photographed extensively, and which he continues to delight in exploring.

David's work has appeared in a number of national magazines. He regularly writes articles and provides photography for 'Beautiful Britain' magazine, as well as writing and illustrating a monthly regional walk for 'North East Life'. He is also a frequent contributor to 'Living North'.

Exhibitions of David's work are held around the region throughout the year, and David greatly enjoys communicating his enthusiasm for photography on his extensive programme of photography workshops and holidays.
