Description

Join Jason Friend on a 'one-on-one' (or 'one-on-two' should you wish to share the workshop with a friend) photography workshop in the picturesque North of England. Learn new skills and develop your compositional eye under the guidance of an award winning landscape photographer. Private tuition is a great way to kick-start your photography hobby – or fine tune your skills before you take the plunge to turn your hobby into the dream job.

Private photography tuition is a flexible approach to learning and exploring your photography. Based around a four, six or eight hour day, you can actually choose the locations that you want to visit and photograph or leave the decision making to Jason, and let him offer you private tuition in some of the best scenery to be found in Tyne & Wear.

Tyne and Wear is a region where the past, present and future combine to form an eclectic melting pot in the north east of England. Situated between the Northumberland and Durham Heritage Coasts, the coastline adjoining the North Sea is understandably beautiful, and whilst there are some stretches of the coast that display the marvels of human endeavour to tame nature, there are plenty of other stretches that embrace the power of the wild and maintain their natural appearance.

Unquestionably, the heart of Tyneside is the River Tyne, the main artery running from the coast dividing the regions of north and south Tyneside on a journey through the city of Newcastle and beyond. Life on the Tyne has changed throughout the years. The Romans exploited the strategic values of the river by choosing to start the spectacular Hadrian’s Wall alongside the Tyne, along with a number of forts that can still be found in Tyneside.

Recently the face of the Tyne has had a facelift in the means of an ongoing redevelopment plan that has seen a number of luxury apartments, modern architecture and world-class tourist attractions adorn the river. Inland Tyneside is host to a plethora of landscapes including picturesque villages, working agricultural land and sites of historical importance.

A one day private tuition session with Jason Friend costs from just £100 for a four hour session – That includes all travel to the locations visited during the workshop. Six hour workshops are priced at £150 and eight hour workshops cost £200. Whatever the duration, the session can be tailor made to accommodate all levels of experience and will appeal to both beginning and experienced photographers. If you simply considering starting photography as a hobby, we can also supply and a camera and tripod on the day at no extra cost.
