This fascinating insight into the world of the barista (meaning bartender, in Italian) is perfect for any coffee enthusiast. Held in Pumphrey's Coffee's dedicated training room at their Roasting Rooms in Blaydon, this 5 hour, hands-on experience enables you to get the best from your espresso machine and will include a short history of coffee, roasting tour, coffee selection and storage, espresso extraction, milk texturing, drink presentation (including ‘latte art’), grinder and machine maintenance.
Following training, there will be an opportunity to peruse Pumphrey's lovely shop and showroom, where you can pick up anything you've realised you can't live without!
There are a number of dates throughout the year to choose from with morning, afternoon or evening sessions available, so there will be a time to suit any schedule.
Please note that food is not included, so please bring something to have during the break if you think you might get peckish.

Here, they are roasted to order over an open flame in the traditional way. Equally passionate about coffee, Paula brings business, sales and marketing skills and is a welcome addition to the company. Both are highly skilled Baristas and have enjoyed success in various barista competitions. The’y cant wait to tell you more about coffee and teach you how to make the perfect cuppa.
