The origin of ‘fish therapy’ or the ‘fish pedicure’ comes from Turkey and areas of the Middle East.
Also known as the 'reddish log sucker', the Garra Rufa fish are known to live in hot springs near Kangal, Turkey where they naturally breed and feed.
The Garra Rufa fish are renowned for their ability to find and feed off dead surface skin leaving feet feeling softer and smoother.
Spa equipment has been designed to ensure the safety and well being, not only of the customer, but the Garra Rufa fish too, enables visitors to enjoy a high quality, relaxing treatment, whether visiting alone or with friends.
During the treatment you sit with your feet dipped into your own tank of approximately 100 Garra Rufa fish, which will cover your feet, gently sucking and nibbling away the dead skin, leaving them feeling soft, refreshed and healthy. The treatment feels comfortably ticklish, as the fish gently peel away callouses and other nasties.
In the peaceful spa environment, you will leave feeling relaxed and indulged, with happy, soft feet!
