Description:

Tucked away in a beautiful unspoilt corner of Northumberland and set in fifty acres of private grounds on the edge of the famous Pennine Way, you will find a family business with a real passion for birds of prey - an activity centre and school for falconry with 45 fully trained working birds that are managed and flown on a daily basis.

People from all walks of life share a similar fascination of Birds Of Prey. This experience will unlock some of the mystery and allow you to get really close to these amazing creatures and at the same time, promote the sport and well being of birds of prey, both in the wild and in captivity.

Hawking is a form of hunting using birds of prey that started around 2,700 years ago in the Far East.

Your Hawking Experience Day starts at 10am where, over coffee, you will receive instructions and be introduced to the fully trained team of hawks, pointers and ferrets.

You will be given a hawk to call your own, which you will hunt with throughout the day, flying it at game, rabbits and hares.

This is an intense, hands-on experience - the thrill of seeing the hawks stoop on its prey as it would do in the wild is awe inspiring.

The welcoming owners enthusiasm for their extraordinary collection of birds and the fabulous location create the perfect combination for an unforgettable experience.
