Ever dreamed of flying your own aircraft? If so, what better way to experience Northumberland's celebrated scenery than from the freedom of a microlight. With this package you'll fly to a second airfield and, after a chat about your flight with your instructor, you'll be given the chance to man the controls on your return flight! Choose between a fully enclosed Eurostar 3 axis microlight or a weightshift microlight and take to the skies!

If you decide to train for your licence this time will go towards your training.

Your microlight flight starts at Eshott Airfield, near Morpeth. The airfield is run by Storm Smith, an intrepid pilot who has flown a microlight from Bangalore to Farnborough AND set a new British high-altitude record flying to 20,300 feet!

Restrictions

Although no Declaration of Fitness is required to fly as a passenger, to fly solo you must be at least 16 years old and hold a Declaration of Fitness. This is based on DVLA regulations and should be signed by your GP (no medical examination is normally required). A medical form and information sheets are available on the CAA website www.caa.co.uk.

The weight limit for flying in a Eurostar is 95kg and the height limit is 6ft 5in. For the weightshift aircraft the weight limit is 110kg.
